Molly here.... for a change, well little brother has rather hogged the blog recently!
I thought I would start trying the recipes from our new recipe book.
I rather fancied the Roadhouse Munchies. The recipe did not look too difficult to follow so I sent the hooman out to buy the correct ingredients.
A few of the ingredients were a little difficult to find but good substitutes soon sorted the problem.

Now this stuff would act as a good beard gel, I think I could sculpture my beard and then have a few crafty licks, what do you think?

Hmm, not sure about these, feel they may get stuck in between my teeth.

Right then let's get cooking.

(Biggify if you cannot read the recipe.)
First of all shove the flour and sunflower seeds in a huge bowl and mix
Then it's the turn of the eggs and milk to be whisked together.
Bung all the other ingredients in the large bowl and add the whisked eggs and milk.
Keep a tablespoon of the egg/milk mixture for later..
Stir.
If you have problems with the spoon get the hoomans to help.
I did!
I make a very good supervisor.

So, once it is all a good sticky looking mass you have to divide it into 2 and make dough balls.
(I forgot to check to see if they bounce, well any good ball should bounce...right?)
Next get the Bone Cutter

Roll the two dough balls out and start cutting.
At this point there was a very small argument about the size of cutter to be used.
I wanted to use the largest size but Taffy said he wanted the smaller cutter to make smaller biscuits as his mouth wasn't as big as mine!
A short scuffle ensued and eventually the small cutter was used.
It was so good to see all the bones being lined up on the work surface.
Then I had to get them onto a baking tray.
Hope you appreciate my artistic skills!
Splodge the remaining egg and milk on top of them and pop into oven for 30 minutes at 350F.
Here they are all ready to eat.

Please may I have one now?

Yummy.
Sorry about the crumbs and the drool on the carpet but they are just so delicious.

Don't worry I will clear up all the crumbs.

You have one Taffy. I recommend them.

The look of sheer pleasure on his face says it all.

Molly, the super cook.

These look fantastic! You have posted this just at the right time. We are getting some ideas together for xmas in July so we'll give these a try as well as our own recipe. Mum says she's ordered us a special cookie cutter that looks like us from the land far far away.
Thanks, Molly. Enjoy your cookies!
You two are gorgeous and the bone cookies look wonderful. We're off to give those a try! They will have to be stick shaped, as we haven't got cookie cutters...will probably taste good still.

Ruby
