A relaxing day

Had a nice relaxing day yesterday after all the commotion of the Bank Holiday weekend. Managed to fit in an airecut; a girl has to keep up her appearance, had my eyebrows, beard, and paws trimmed, just a general makeover so I can continue to look beautiful. Taffy on the other hand had to have a shower as he was not pleasant to be with, he was extremely pongy and dirty. Why does he always have to sport the bedraggled look?

I am embarking on a new project at the moment. I have managed to find a place where I can dig up the driveway, it does not seem to be going down too well with the humans in the family but I am enjoying myself tremendously. I seem to be nagged at for digging holes in the lawn and garden so thought the driveway would be a safe bet but apparently not. I will keep you posted on "Operation dig".

Weekend fun in the garden

So far it has been a weekend of fun fun fun. Popped up to see our mate Robbie as we had to pass on the latest copy of The Welsh Terrier Times. We are once again mentioned in the quarterly publication, our photos are in it under the Rescue section.

Been helping out with the gardening and playing in my paddling pool, the garden ponds and chasing after my ball.



Somebody threw my favourite ball into one of the ponds and I cannot find it, must remember to start searching for it again tomorrow. It is a jolly good excuse to have a quick dip without getting into too much trouble. There has been a lot of chopping down and re-arranging in the garden and Molly and I have been helping out a lot. Molly is testing out the fencing just to ensure it is all stable and firmly in place........for the time being! I have no doubt that she will be launching herself through it some time in the future.

Right I am off for some shut eye as I am a tired Taffy.

Taffy in trouble!

I am not a dog who tells tales BUT Taffy was in a bit of trouble this afternoon! He was caught looking rather snug and comfortable in the armchair. Both of us know we are not allowed on the furniture so why he did it I really do not know. I was snoozing in my bed so why was he not in his bed being good like me??

He did look rather guilty when he was caught and sort of slithered off the chair in the hope he would not be noticed, but that did not work and I rather feel that we are going to be very closely watched from now on! Thanks a lot little brother, makes it all the more difficult for me to get away with it when all our humans are not paying attention.

Little brothers can be so annoying sometimes.

Me again, Taffy. The handsome one! Well I have just been browsing through the vast photo collection of "moi" and found this one (taken while we were on holiday) with a petal right in the middle of my nose! I really don't know how it ended up perfectly positioned in the middle of my nose but it seemed to amuse the humans. So I thought I had better share it with you too!

Well life has been fairly quiet over the past day or so, we have had our usual walks and playtimes but today it is very windy.



I personally am not too keen on all this blustery weather so aim to stay inside and play today. Molly is being her usual mad self and dashing after falling leaves and trying to catch frogs.

Wet Sunday at home

Well it was all rather wet and soggy yesterday afternoon so our nice long Sunday walk was postponed until the rain turned from torrential to a steady pour.

We had a few good playing sessions in the garden and we each managed to force down a pigs ear.

Taffy decided it would be a good idea to jump into the bog garden and he emerged looking all black and green and he ponged. He will probably get all grumpy when he sees I have posted this, but hey ho, I will be a nice sister and let him do the next blog entry. Molly x

Flat tyre!

Me here, Molly!! I managed to beat him to it and have plonked myself in front of the computer to tell you what happenend to us last night!!

There we were, Taffy and I, snoozing away on our comfy beds in the back of the car on our way to Derbyshire when there was a horrible loud noise on my side of the car. Boy did it make us jump!!!!!! I looked at Taffy and then he looked at me rather accusingly as if it was my fault, cheek of it! We had never been disturbed during our slumbers before and we were rather concerned.

Anyway the humans pulled over and we heard mutterings about a flat tyre, all sounded very serious to us. It was very very dark and so a phone call was made to a motoring organisation for assistance. We had to wait 90 minutes in the back of the car for a nice friendly man to come along and help us. We had a good bark at him and then watched him change the tyre for us.

Well that all sorted we finally made it to our destination, albeit rather late, and then decided the humans needed to be dragged off for a nice walk before bedtime!!! It is such fun being a Dale.

Summer Holidays

Taffy here: Well we have just returned from our Summer hols! It has been a good water based holiday, not because it was raining every day but because we found loads of rivers to swim and play in.

We went to the River Aire in the Airedale Valley, Yorkshire, so that Molly could get back to her roots, but all she really seemed to be interested in was trying to round up thousands of sheep!! Not a good idea me thinks. Just as well she was on her extender lead!

We walked for miles every day and because it was holiday time we were allowed extra doggie treats at lunch time, yum.

One afternoon we drove to a farm to see Molly's Airedale mum and younger sister. That was quite a noisy experience, but the dales eventually calmed down and peace reigned. I have to say I was greatly admired at the farm, but I am such a handsome chapppie.

Molly has just announced that she wants to do the next posting on our blog, well we will just have to wait and see who gets their paws on the keyboard first won't we!!!!

Let us introduce ourselves!

I am Taffy a rather splendid looking Welsh Terrier aged 6 and my sister Molly a pretty Airedale Terrier (especially after she has been brushed)! is 3 years old.

This is not the first home we have lived in as we were both put up for adoption by our previous owners, but we feel we have landed on our paws in our new home. Molly has been here since November 2006 and I arrived in January this year.

I am a "get up and go" sort of a lad and love to run all day, play with my toys in the garden and also jump into my very own paddling pool . Molly on the other hand is an adept escape artist, animal hunter and digger!!

I really do have to keep my eye on her you know and inform my humans when she is up to mischief.

We have a little friend called Robbie, he is a Cairn Terrier and he often comes to stay with us for weekends when his Mum and Dad go away.

We are hoping to update our new blog on a regular basis and keep you informed about all our adventures.
