It's my birthday.

I am 8 years old today.

I am having a super day and I am very busy enjoying myself.

So I will tell you all about my birthday later in the week.

Keeping busy

Today it is my day to do the chores.

Here I am reporting for duty.

What is my first job?

Check the recycling bins.

They definitely need to be emptied.

There is a nice aroma of sardines here.

Somebody didn't wash the sardine receptacle very well.

Main kitchen bin can wait another day.

Next job tidy up toys and check whether the floor needs to be swept.

Cuddly toys back to beds

Anything else that needs to be done?

Turn the Range up.

OK

Very happy to do that.

And rest.

What a busy morning!

Feeling chilly.

So here we are in the middle of January

It is -4 celsius outside and I had all my warm furs cut off!!

I know I look absolutely stunning but how is a girl meant to keep warm in the middle of winter?

This is my field this morning. 

I am not putting one dainty paw through that gate.

Absolutely no way

Instead I will throw a hissy fit and toss all the blankets around the kitchen,  scatter the contents of the toy box everywhere as a protest and then insist on some indoor games to play.

You must agree with me surely?

Oh and please note the others look like old tatty rugs, they are that hairy.

Not heard a murmur about them having their furs trimmed.

(Toddles off in a huff)

Being subtle

My day bed isn't usually in no man's land.

I prefer a tidy bed tucked neatly into a corner.

Why do you think I have gone to the bother of moving it to the other end of my kitchen?

Answer:

Directly in front of me is the treat cupboard.

Dental chews are distributed at 10.30am.

It is now 10.31am

You just cannot get good staff these days.

My new friend is a Monster!

I have a new friend.

His name is Sullivan

"Sulley"

He has become my friend because our fridge broke down...

Bet that has confused you..

I like to sleep in the kitchen at night on a big cosy bed and that is because

our freezer had a lovely green light on it.
 It lit up the kitchen just enough so I could see and I was not in the pitch black.

I don't like the dark, I imagine naughty monsters are hiding everywhere.

Well the silly freezer broke down and for two nights I was not happy.

Mum had to leave the big light on for me.

We had to wait for a new freezer to be delivered but then I found it did not have a nice green light that could glow and make me feel safe.

So along came Sulley

A friendly monster

He is my night time friend and I can sleep well again at night knowing he will take care of me.

Feeling so happy now.

Our Christmas by Monty

Wow! We had the best Christmas ever.

Our presents weren't wrapped up.

Instead we found a posh new toy box underneath our Christmas tree.

A very big box.

I had the honour of opening the box

Lots of new puzzles for us

Obviously designed for clever Terriers  

Underneath the puzzles were more presents

Our new toy box was a bottomless pit.

We got stuck into the puzzles

They were Terrierific fun.

This one you had to push levers, slide the round blocks and lift things up.

Mum had hidden treats in the puzzles for us.

We had a huge amount of fun.

Then I suggested we relaxed for a while and cuddled our new "stuffies" 

Our pals Jake, Sandy and Ginger had sent them to us. 

We love them. 

Thank you so much for thinking of us.

Opening so many presents was exhausting.

A good long rest was needed before dinner was served.

The day went too quickly but we definitely will be enjoying all our new puzzles over  the coming weeks and months.
