Hope you are sitting comfortably 'cos this is a long post.
When Taffy and I celebrate our birthdays every September we are always asked what we would like to do.
Before I can even draw breath to woof something Taffy barks
Wales, Wales, I want to go to Wales.
So off we trot to Wales.

Taffy loves his trips there.
He likes to see all the signs in his native language.

With some of these long words, you really do need to have your teeth in back to front to pronounce them. Most of the alphabet has been used to write Visitor Facilities.

It really is a rather special place, lots of walks, places to swim and creatures to chase.

We took the hoomans to do a spot of retail therapy. We thought if we let them have their own way at the beginning of the holiday we would have loads more time to do what we wanted.
Winnie just kept saying... "Can we go now"

After the shopping trip I was dragged over to the stocks.
What had I done wrong to be subjected to this indignity?
I had been a good girl all morning.

Fortunately Winnie thought it looked fun and asked to have a go.

She is so tiny she practically crawled straight through dragging a hooman with her.
That's the way Winnie!

Then it was time for a paddle. Winnie beat us to the water.

Closely followed by Taffy and myself.

Taffy goes straight in.
Hope you washed your paws this morning Taffy, I am going to have a drink shortly!
Monty just put his big toe in and had a huge drink.

Taffy was impressed with Winnie

She is becoming quite a water baby, she really enjoys paddling.

Our water play was disturbed by two Jack Russell terriers.
Bill and Ben had so much attitude, we soon sorted them out and they left us alone.

We had a wonderful walk through the sculpture park.
What happened to all the photos I took I don't know! But take it from me it was fun.

By this time the hoomans were moaning they were thirsty and hungry.
So we took them to the hotel so they could have a snack.

It's very nice here isn't it Monty?

Oh yes Molly, but there is something even nicer over there!
Look!

They can't possibly eat all that can they? They must be sharing with us.

In your dreams Monty, in your dreams.

Now the day we met him it was absolutely teeming with rain and no photographs were taken.
However, George gave Taffy and me a pressie each. How kind is that?

We decided to wait until we got home to open them.

Taffy opened his first.

Wow there are 2 things in here!

A lovely snug fleece for the winter months.

A book about treats with a tug toy in it.

We are going to try out these recipes.

Then it was my turn.

I carefully removed the wrapping from the corner of the parcel.

Then proceeded to remove the layer of bubble wrap.

Oh how divine!
Sweeties.

I carefully removed one without destroying the lid.

Also in my pressie was a super tug toy. I said I would play with Winnie.

As Monty was feeling a little left out our hoomans gave him a dog toy slipper.
As he has such a keen interest in their footwear they thought he would like this toy.
It also meant they don't have to search for their slippers every time they want to wear them.

Taffy also received a campervan.

Here he is testing the strength of the bodywork.

We think it passed it's
MOT !

As we had been away for our birthdays we had a last surprise when we put on our pawtop.
Our
Airedale forum had put up a special birthday banner just for me and Taffy.

How fabulous was that?
I have asked Taffy if perhaps we could go to the Airedale Valley next year for our birthdays.
Apparently not! He has already booked our accommodation for Wales.
Monty..... when it is your birthday can you ask to go to the Airedale Valley pretty please?
Molly.
