Houdini!

Our hooman spent an hour trying to repair a wooden fence panel this morning. Dear Miss Molly decided to go THROUGH it!

Not content with just popping into the neighbour's garden she then opened their back door and let the neighbour's dog, Jessie, out.

The two of them were having a ball running up and down the garden while hooman was on the wrong side of the fence cursing.

So it was a case of grab a lead, the neighbour's front door keys (what makes you think this may have happenend before) and charge round to sort the pair of them out.

It was just as well my hooman went round. Jessie had obviously been bored and had rearranged the contents of a large kitchen pedal bin all over the floor. Very creative she was too, the gingernuts looked very artisitic mixed up with the potato peelings.

So after Houdini came home our hooman returned to scrub the neighbour's kitchen floor and lock Jessie in her house just in case the fence repairs don't last the day!

Houdini is now sitting in her bed looking like a little .

She is grounded!

Annual check up.

Yesterday morning I was up with the Lark. Had my breakfast, a nice brush and then trotted down to my Vet for my annual check up.

"Good Morning, my name is Molly, I have an 8.30 appointment"

I am a little early, is it OK if I look at the new posters on the doors while I wait?

Just looking out to see when my Vet arrives. I was so keen to be on time I actually beat her here!
She has arrived, just waiting for the consultation room door to open.
Hurray, come on then let's get in there.
Good morning Helena. Lovely shoes you are wearing.
I have just come for my check up and annual vaccination.
Please be careful with that stethoscope, my ribs are so ticklish.
My heart sounds good. Fantastic. My teefies are pearly white and I am declared fighting fit.
Just the needle in the back of the neck now.

All done, just need to pay the bill............
Oh this looks interesting a nice little mat on the counter. Wonder if that dog is meant to be an Airedale?
Come on then time to go, I need to get back and make sure my brothers have been behaving themselves.
And check all is OK in my garden.
I really don't mind going to the Vets, they are always so kind to me and I always get a treat.

My Gotcha Day.

Hiya. Guess what it's my Gotcha Day today.

I have been with my family now for 3 years.

When I arrived I was the only K9 in the household but I wasn't worried it was fun having my hoomans to myself.

I loved digging and still do for that matter and during my 3 years here I must have moved a few tons of earth.

I relaxed a lot at first.

Then "Jaws" came along. My life changed drastically...

He is a fun little brother, often challenging but jolly good company too.

We have had some good holidays together and play a lot of the time.

I have celebrated another birthday

However, most importantly I acquired another brother this year.

Then spent most of the Summer being chased by them both.

I am thinking two versus one is not a fair game.

I think I need help.....

Worldwide moment for Snickers.

Our pals Jake and Fergi have asked us to help spread this message
as quickly and as far as we can.

~~~~~~~~~
So as many dogs and cats and families
as possible can read it prior to 5:00 PM, Saturday, 14 Nov 09, Iowa Time
(11:00 PM, 14 Nov 09 GMT)
.
Just please help us get the message out.
As you may know
Miss Snickers is struggling
Mightily
Along with her family.
(The best place to keep up with updates
is her
Gussie’s blog.)
Last night looked as if it might have been her last.
This morning she rebounded with improved symptoms.
She is far from out of the woods
But she and her family
Including her gentle and loving brother Butchy
Have been granted another day.
We can’t help but believe
that part of the improvement is because of
The support and love that have surrounded her
From all around the world
Thanks to the linked paws
Of her blogging friends.
The Power of the Paw
We are asking everyone to set your alarms
And at exactly 11:00 PM GMT on Saturday 14 Nov 09
(
Go to this link to find what time that is for you)
5:00 PM Saturday evening in Iowa
as Snickers' family sits down to eat
Turn toward them (in the central USA)
And join together in a silent minute
Of prayer, meditation, contemplation, reflection
Whatever feels right to you.
Followed by whatever means of communication
You choose.
Arrooing
Barking
Howling
Yipping
Yapping
Wooing
Meowing
Mewing
Purring
To wish and send
Miss Snickers and her family
whatever is in your hearts
That will help them feel the Love and Support
They need right now.
Personally, we’ll be praying for a Miracle.
Then
Blow a Kiss
and send your Love and Prayers and Best Wishes
to
Miss Snickers and her Family
and they will feel their arrival
in the breeze.
OK?
We believe it will help.
And we'll do anything in our power right now
To help.
~~~~~~

We have synchronised our watches and set our alarms so we too can join in with all our friends around the world sending our thoughts and positive vibes to Miss Snickers and her family.

A walk in the Kent countryside.

Last Saturday we had a splendid day out.

Taffy, with a little help from the hoomans, had arranged a WELTAF meeting in Knole Park.

It was a lovely sunny Autumn morning when we set off. We even had Robbie with us for the day so we were very excited.

The usual "meet 'n greet" and a few new faces which was brilliant.

Then we went on full alert.

The local wildlife looked most interesting.
Bambi had brought along his family to see us!

Before we could reek havoc on the countryside we had to line up for the obligatory group photograph.

Taffy does pose so well don't you think?

Then came a spot of log climbing. I certainly wasn't going to climb up there with Taffy. I would have been at a distinct disadvantage 6 feet off the ground with Taffy and his teeth!!
Robbie braved it though and came down unscathed.

Now our hoomans do have the most annoying habit of stopping and chatting when we are on our walks.
We kept stopping in the strangest of places, never next to a nice tree or lamppost.
But in the middle of a golf course!!
Not the most intelligent of places to have a chat I wouldn't have thought.
Those whizzy little white balls could surely pack a punch and we appeared to be sitting targets.

Finally we managed to get everybody moving and went to catch up with the locals.

Friendly bunch they were too.

This one was super brave!

Not sure if it was practicing yoga or if it nearly fell over it's own feet trying to get away from Taffy.
They posed for one last photo
Oops hope this one didn't have a tick.
I think it needs one of Lacie's Anti Tick Protection garments!

Then we saw this little guy come along. We thought it might have been Hamish come down to visit us from Scotland. Sadly it wasn't, just as well really Robbie sure did give him the cold shoulder.
I kept alert the whole time, counted the deer and was ever so pleased when I saw some more in the distance.
Unfortunately it was time to go home and so I did not have the opportunity to go and say hello to them.

Taffy insisted on one last photo next to his friend Dooley and sister Duffy.

Look ever so happy don't they!!!!!!!!!!!

Molly.
