WE are in trouble by Molly.

It's like this. I love to chase birds. It seems to be a problem with my hoomans when I decide to chase the birds next door. Well there they all are cheeping away on the bird table stuffing their little beaks full of seed and bread just waiting to be chased as far as I am concerned.

Now I will admit there are obstacles in between myself and the birds next door! A fence and a hedgerow, but hey that really is not a problem to me I just tend to go through them!!!!!

That is precisely what I did today and I had a good run around in the neighbours garden until my absence was noticed. My hooman came to collect me and I was trotted back home but not via my newly formed hole in the fencing.

When I got home I jumped into my bed and tried to look angelic. Hasn't worked so far!

Hooman sat down at the table where she had been eating her lunch prior to my escape to find there was nothing on her plate!

In the rush to get me she had left her meal and it would seem that Taffy had climbed up on the table and had finished the lunch.

He was nowhere near the scene of the crime but the licking of his lips did rather give him a way. He wouldn't look at our hooman and guilt was written all over his litle face.

Now I am not allowed outside till the hole has been repaired and Taffy can come and go as he pleases with a full tummy of delicious food. How unfair is that.

I have a lady admirer!

It is me Taffy.
Today I found out that I have an admirer. Well that did wonders for my Monday morning. I was quite beside myself with excitement. I jumped up and down and then did 4 circuits of the house at warp speed. WOW what a surprise I have had!

My admirer is Stella, Stan's Lakeland sister.

She says:...

Oh, Taffy Taff Taff!

You are bright like a twinkly star in the night. You are gorgeously fetching like a little gnome belching...

Oh, STINK! I'm giving up poetry.

I just wanted to ask you to be my fren, and to let you know I think I LOVE you. (My brother Stanley's told me about you & Molly, and I have secretly been reading your blog).

Be me fren, pretty please?

Goobette love & tiny kissies,
STELLA

Obviously Stella prefers the more mature gentleman so I am so pleased that she has fallen for me hook, line and sinker.

I am most happy to be the love of Stella's life.

Christmas photo shoot! First attempt.

We had set this morning aside to take our Christmas photos. Somebody obviously forgot to mention this to Molly!

She disappeared outside and when we did eventually get her back indoors she did not concentrate and was either a real fidget or pulled silly faces at the camera.

You have to agree that this photo really would not put you into the Festive spirit, more likely to drive you into actually wanting to have a shot of our hooman's excellent Vintage Whisky!

So after a few failed attempts of getting my dear big sister to sit next to me and pose I had to admit defeat and decided to go and pose for my own Christmas pawtrait.

I am going to be Santa's little helper!

Just need to go and get a nice Santa hat and I will be all set and ready.

Wish me luck with my sister and the Christmas photo.

My annual check-up at the Vets

This morning I trotted off to the Vets to have my annual check up and booster vaccinations.

Now I would not say I was overly keen on the Vets but apparently I am getting better and this year I did not embarrass my hooman by trying to open the consultation room door and let myself out before I had even had my booster.

Anyway I toddled into the the waiting room and on arrival oh joy of joys a cat was there in a basket. When the owners realised I had a keen interest in cats it was promtly whisked out of the waiting area and into a car. Such a shame.

My name was called and I trotted into the consulting room. I said "Hello" to Helena my vet and at the same time kept a close eye on what she was holding in her hand. You can never be too sure where they are going to stick these things can you?

It was OK though, she just wanted to listen to my heart.

My pearly white gnashers were admired by Helena, I do look after them as I like to have a brilliant smile. When I was pronounced fit and my booster given to me I had a little cuddle and a chat.

Then it was time for a weigh-in.
I tried to tell them that my lead was on the scales, it could add pounds to my weight and give a false reading!

Well here I am on the scales, and no I am not going to tell you my weight that is a personal thing between a lady and the scales!!!

I then decided it was time to go.

A good sniff around the waiting area was next. I like to catch up with all the latest tasty goodies that are available, unfortunately no samples were on offer but they certainly smelt delicious.

So that is my annual check up for this year and I am 100%.Yahooooooo.

BE*THE*BLOG*AWARD

We have had a lovely surprise from Butchy and Snickers. They have given us the Be*the*Blog*award.

They told us: This award is presented to a successful blogger, one who can "be the blog" - making it their own, staying with it, interacting with the readers, and just plain having fun.

We would like to pass this award onto Mojo, she always makes us laugh when we visit her blog and we do love a good giggle. We would also like to give this award to Ludo for telling us so many varied stories about himself and his family.

A BIG thank you to Butchy and Snickers from a delighted Molly and Taffy

My photo!!!

Well it would seem that my bottom has been nominated for an award!

I am not sure whether it is Molly's photographic skills or my curvacious woolly rump that has put me into the voting of Photo of the month on Dogs with Blogs, but hey, if anybody else likes my photo I would certainly appreciate your vote.

I will LEAF the decision up to you my furry bottom followers!

A special day for me.

Today is a very special day for me. It is the first anniversary of me coming to my family.

So I have made a little slide show of some of the highlights of my year.

I have a acquired a little brother, made lots of new friends, been on many adventures and just had a great time doing things I love.

Now I must start planning for the next year and see how many more adventures I can have.

Getting my own back!!

Taffy here, I have finally managed to push Molly off the computer and get my paws on the keyboard to post something on OUR blog!

On reading the previous post I have to say I was extremely miffed about having my rear end displayed on the WWW for everyone to see! So now I think it is time to divulge Molly's secret about her feet.

SHE IS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY TICKLISH!

Tonight she had a pedicure! Well the kerfuffle that ensued was amazing. She wriggled and wriggled and tried to escape the proceedings and made silly noises.

I sat there watching and thought it was just so funny. I just had to laugh at her.

Well her feet were rather hairy!!

It was the look on her face when she realised what was going to happen!

She decided if she bit her tongue she would not feel the tickles so much!!

But it didn't work and she was beside herself with laughing!!

Well I feel a little better now after posting about my sister.

Till the next time!!!

Look behind you!

This morning Taffy and I got up out of our nice warm beds and went out into our garden and had a good run around before breakfast.

We dutifully returned to the house when called, (hooman thinks she has us well trained) but obviously we respond to the call when we know breakfast has been served.

Anyway I woofed down my breakfast and left Taffy to finish his off. When I walked past him I did a double take. He had a leaf stuck to his posterior. It looked so funny and I really did try not to laugh but the urge was so great I could not contain myself.

I just had to take a photo. Needless to say he is not talking to me anymore and says he will get his own back on me if I dare even publish the photo. Better watch out then hadn't I...............cos here it is!!!!!!!

Third time lucky!

We have not been keeping up to date with our blog recently. Those ghastly fireworks have been playing on our minds and every time we heard a loud bang we came over all unnecessary. Anyway they all seem to be over now and so we can continue our lives without feeling nervous.

Last weekend we had a lovely walk deep in the Derbyshire countryside.

Lots of leaves had fallen and this was definitely a huge advantage for me. It was a case of "What lies beneath" Unbeknown to the humans I was hot on the trail of some recently deposited horse dung. The smell was out of this world and the need to roll in it was great. Unfortunately my first two attempts were thwarted, but on the third attempt I was lucky. The hoomans were not quick enough to stop me and I had the delight of rolling and breathing in the lovely aroma.

I was lucky enough to get a good covering down the side of my neck, all in my curls and along my side.

Have to say that was a good result for me. I was devastated when I was bathed when we got home. Hoomans can be such meanies sometimes.

PS. (No photos posted showing full extent of Molly's roll for fear of causing offence or upset tummies if you should be eating)!!!!!!
