Hello.

Hello.

It's me Monty.

I am a bit nervous at the moment.

I have never blogged before but Molly is helping me.

She is ever so nice my new big sister.

Apparently whatever I write here could be seen all over the world.

Oh my goodness!

Molly is holding one of my paws just to reassure me. I have to say having never ever typed before and only using one paw is challenging.

I have been here at my Furever home for nearly 3 weeks now.
If you don't mind I would rather not go into details of the past 2 years of my life, I intend to put them right behind me and look forward to happy times.

My birthday is 6th June, I have just turned 2 years old. I am very inquisitive and look forward to lots of play times and adventures with Molly and Taffy.

When I first arrived my favourite place to rest was by the big white wall.

As the days passed I felt more comfortable being closer to my new house and rested my head on the bottom step.

Now I spend my days sleeping and pottering about my new garden and I even go into the house! Huge progress for me! I am rather chuffed with myself I can tell you.

I am frightened of the camera but I am happy for my new hooman to take photos with her mobile phone it is far less scary. I understand from Molly that I will have lots of photos taken so I had better look into plucking up the courage to have an Airecut.

Well that's it from me for the time being.

Monty.

Photo challenge

Our friend Mango gave us this challenge.....

1) open the folder that has your pet pics in it

2) choose one you haven't posted before

3) tell its story

4) tag 5 friends

This is the picture I have chosen.

The photo was taken in the garden when I was just about to sink my gnashers into a delicious bone.

I was very rudely disturbed by a large bird squawking at me. If it thought it was going to have a piece of my bone it was in for a huge disappointment. After glaring at the feathered irritation for a minute or two it flew away.

I do prefer piece and quiet while I chew.

The 5 friends we would like to tag are..

Asta

Hamish

Fred

Bogart

Stella

Hole in one!

Yesterday Hamish Westie left us a comment on our post "Green paws?"

Oh but do you not feel the urge to check out the root systems of all those lovely plants too...?Cheers, H.

The answer to that question is......

YES

Green paws?

Every morning before we have breakfast we take it upon ourselves to inspect the garden.

We need to make sure the plants are standing upright and to attention.

The Bamboo is flourishing nicely and the Nicotiana is looking very pretty.
Then I usually check all the pots.

Hello.......... I have spotted a SLUG!
Need to report back quickly before it chomps through our delicate plants.

Better water here as well, the soil is looking rather dry.

No Taffy you don't need to water them, I will get the watering can.........
I will check the last few pots

Everything is looking great.

Taffy rather than just standing there watching me could you go and check the greenhouse please?
The peppers are OK Molly, but I can't see on top of the shelves.

She must think I am a giraffe!

Molly, have you seen Monty?

He is busy relaxing on the decking Taff.

Did someone call me?

It's hard work all this gardening isn't it!

What's the password?

Taffy can be a right little rascal sometimes.
The other day Monty wanted to come in from the garden.

So Taffy said he could come in if he barked out the correct password!

" Nope, that's not right " said Taffy.
"Keep guessing"

Poor Monty, how was he expected to know the password, he had only been living with us a few days. I have been living here years and don't know it.

Taffy, you are being most unfair he is coming in!

I think I have my work cut out, educating Monty on how to deal with his new little brother.

Accident and Emergency Department

This morning the A&E Department was extremely busy.
Many patients had arrived, they must have had an amazing weekend!

First they were sent to Triage.

It was decided that Heffalump was the number one priority. He could have gone into shock at any moment as his left arm was nowhere near his body!

Quite frankly we were in shock just looking at the state of him.

He also had cuts under his chin that required a few stitches.

Sidney spider must have been walking on some prickly bushes as his legs were cut and oozing a horrible white substance.

Phil also had cuts and abrasions under his neck but did not want a photo taken of his wounds .
We rather think he was concerned he would end up as a dead bird and he and the photos would be used for medical research.

First into surgery was Heffalump.
The skill required to rejoin an arm takes years of training.
The surgeon carefully rejoined his soft felt like skin and poked in a little more stuffing for good measure.
He was then sent to the recovery ward where he enthusiastically took his medicine.

Next on the table was Sidney.
He opted for local anasthaesia but it proved challenging to the medical team when he kept kicking his legs because he was so ticklish. In the end it took a huge team to keep him still.

Here he is in Post Operative care once again standing on his own 8 legs, albeit a little wobbly.

We would like to thank our dedicated team of nurses and doctors for taking such good care of our stuffies.

We now feel it is our duty to go and play with them.

Well they need cheering up......don't they?

Did you notice?

Did you notice our blog header?

YES, there is another name.............

We would like to introduce you to

MONTY

He is our new adopted Airedale brother.

He hasn't had the greatest time during the first 2 years of his life but we are hoping he will settle nicely into our household and enjoy being our brother.

When he is feeling confident and not so shy we are sure he will introduce himself to you all.

Until then we will keep you updated on his progress.

WELTAF meeting.

Last weekend I met up with a few of my Welshie pals for a walk.

Before the walk the hoomans had a picnic and my friends all managed to scrounge some food.

Molly and I received nothing as usual.

We are so hard done by.

Dooley was wearing his Independence Day collar. He has so many collars, such a trendy chap, very fashion conscious.

He managed to eat half of his hoomans lunch. It looked absolutely delicious. This is little Gruffen enjoying some puppy snacks.

As soon as all the food had been consumed Dooley had us up and marching.
He had been here before and led the walk.

It was quite a warm day and the sight of water was very welcoming.
Ruby was first in, she made sure the upside down crocodile was harmless!!!

We found lots of shady places to rest

and have our photos taken.

Little Gruffen.
I was quite tired by the end of the walk...........

MOLLY I TOLD YOU NOT TO PUT THIS PHOTO IN!

How am I meant to keep up my macho image if Molly posts photos like this?
