BBQ and walk, By Taffy

Hi Taffy here!

As I was not allowed to post about the BBQ trip the other day I have to say I have been extremely miffed, not just because it was my turn to post but also because I was there and in the important role of Honarary Dale!

I have managed to tip toe to the computer while Molly is snoozing and will tell you about the day I had.

Have to say it did not start off to well! Apparently I ponged! Why is it always me who has to have baths? Miss Big Paws Molly never has to have one, she just has brushes. Anyway I found myself in the bath AGAIN and after a quick lather and rinse was apparently more pleasant to be with. Quick brush and off we set. It took us about an hour to get to the venue and I have to agree with Molly it was a super walk.
Gravy bones for us hounds were given out while we were relaxing in the garden after the walk. Yummy, but Oh how we would have loved a sausage!

There was a "Naughtiest Airedale" Competition. The humans had to write down all the naughtiest things the Dales had ever done. I thought Molly was quite naughty with all her digging and escaping adventures, but she did not even get in the first four. Wow, were there some naughty dales! The winner had chewed his way through thousands of ££££'s of furniture, footwear and electrical goods!!!!!!!!!! Whoops. My sister certainly does seem to be an angel in comparison.

My humans entered a raffle and won 3 prizes, woohoo, some mugs and sweeties. They were very happy with their posh new mugs.

Molly is waking up now it must be time for walkies.

Club BBQ and walk.

I had been looking forward to today for ages. Today was the day of the Midland Counties Airedale Terrier Club's BBQ and walk through some of England's lovely countryside.

Taffy became an honorary Dale for the day and I just hoped he would behave himself!!

We arrived at Midday and were given a map so our humans would not get us lost and immediately set off for the walk with lots on my Dale friends. I must say I was extremely concerned when I saw an elephant on the map. Did this mean we were going to have to dodge wild and dangerous animals?

Fortunately we did not meet any ferocious beasties but I did spy some wallabies behind a fence. It turned out that our walk was alongside a Safari park and we were in no danger. The walk was marvellous, I love going to new places where there are lots of new sights and smells.

When the walk was over we went to a lovely garden with all the other dales and their humans and had a BBQ. At this point I feel obliged to mention that not one sausage or beefburger came my way! How unfair is that?

There was a competition during the afternoon for the "Naughtiest Airedale". I, of course, would never win that as I am such a little SmileyCentral.com

I love my days out with other dales and just cannot wait till the next one, wonder when it will be?
