Our Christmas by Molly

Well the bad news is we weren't allowed to eat say hello to the fairy on top of the tree.

We would have loved to say hello to her

This is my new Christmas bandana

Monty with his bandana.
He had a Rudolf on his.

And my collar.
Do you like my collar with all the Christmas puddings on it.
I had it made especially for me.

It was hard work waiting for Santa.

Christmas morning finally arrived and I had a nice walk around my estate.

Monty posed for a photo before joining me outside

Winnie's Christmas bandana
She wouldn't pose nicely

It was such a  warm Christmas Day!
It was 14 c.
Just the right temperature for a jolly good roll on the grass

Monty watched.

Do you like his new collar?
It has Christmas trees on it.
His choice.

As it was so warm we decided to stay outside until it was time to open our presents.

Monty waiting to be called.

He waited patiently while Winnie had her official Christmas photo taken

The staff failed dismally
She was totally uncooperative

The camera was put away before we had the pleasure of seeing her tonsils.

I can report all our pressies were edible and as we forgot to take photos before we started munching you will have to take our word they were all exceedingly scrummy.

Molly.

One more sleep.

Monty:   Molly, will Santa Paws be flying over us tonight?

Molly: Yes he will Monty.
Monty:   Which direction  will he be coming from?

Monty:  I need to keep my eyes open and my ears on full alert
Molly how about if I face west and keep my left ear on high alert in a southerly direction?

Monty: Then you can face north and raise your ears to the west.

Monty:  Or if you need a bit of help Molly I can turn and keep my right ear on high alert!

Molly:  My dear boy.
Santa Paws will only come when  it is dark and  you are fast asleep snoring your woolly head off.

Monty:  Oh that is a shame I won't get to see him and his reindeer.

I have been a good boy ALL   most of the year, so he will come won' t he?

Molly:    He will come Monty,  he will come.

Let's go inside and keep warm and snug in our beds

Monty:  Yes let's do that, you are so wise Molly.

The slipper incident

This may look bad but it isn't really.

Let me explain

My Daddy has slippers and he will not train them properly.

The moment he takes his big  feet out of his slippers

The naughty slippers try and run away

It is my job to stop them from escaping.

It's true!!

So I have to concentrate really hard and place my front paws on the front of the slippers

AND my teeth around the back of the slipper.

Now when you have slippers heading to the door at 90mph little mishaps do happen

So don't look at me as though I am the guilty party

It is a huge responsibility

They are your slippers Dad

Please train them properly.

Thank you

Monty
