'Tis the season to be friendly!

It's me Taffy!

I thought I would just tell you about Molly. I don't tell tales......... You know I don't, I would never ever do that I am merely reporting on what happened over Christmas!

Molly being such a sociable young lady decided to pop next door AGAIN!

Anyway her timing was impeccable. She trotted out through the garden hedge just as my hoomans were sitting down to their Christmas dinner. There were mutterings of cold dinners, indigestion. Why now? Many other things were said that I just could not repeat on this blog!

So I sent one of my servants to collect her and she was then banned from the garden for the rest of the day unless she was supervised. That all worked out well until Boxing Day.

Molly obviously has the concept that visiting and being visited during the Christmas season is a free for all! NO invitations required just pop off as and when you please. This is precisely what she did on Boxing Day. She managed to slip through a hole in our hedge into the next door neighbour's garden, trotted across their lawn to the conservatory...........OPENED the conservatory door, walked nonchalantly through their house to the dining room where visitors were sitting having lunch.

Apparently she then did a circuit of their dinner table to see if any food was left over and indicated she would be only too happy to help out.

Oh I was just so embarrassed.

Servant was sent out to collect Molly yet again and to apologise profusely. This really isn't acceptable behaviour.

Molly is a bit fed up now as she has been "confined to quarters".

What am I to do with her?

Busy Christmas Eve

This post was meant to go out Christmas Eve but we had so much trouble organising the hoomans we have only just got around to finishing it!

First of all Molly had to point out there were parcels still to be opened just in case there were Christmas pressies for us inside!

All bags had to be investigated.

I left Molly to her job while I........


Made sure all our presents had been wrapped.



Everything appeared to be in order.

So I counted all the cards we had received. Loads, 49 altogether and tons more e-cards.Wow we were so lucky this year. Thank you to all our friends for thinking of us.

We beat the hoomans they received 48! ha ha ha.

Next job was to ensure the lights went up correctly on the tree.

Then we had a bit of a surprise!

Two new fleece blankies were shown to us.

Are they really for us?

Ooh which one do I fancy?

I decided I liked the blue snowman fleece best.

So it was put in my bed.

Molly liked the green Santa blanket but I still tried it out to make sure it was nice and soft for her.

Yes very nice.

I looked across the room to see what Molly was doing.

She was studying the Dyson!

Not quite sure why!

So I decided to stay in her bed a bit longer.

Then refused to get out when she wanted to get in!

She tried to push me out.

Put her head under the bed to toss me out.

Didn't work. I just said I would drop a ball on her head if she carried on annoying me!

In the end we reached an agreement.

First one in can have it for the afternoon.

Resulting in..........

Who would want to sleep in a messy bed?

It's all gone pear shaped!

Our hooman is a very organised person. Well normally she is. Things didn't really go according to plan yesterday though.

It started to go a little bit wrong when the washing machine decided to dance across the kitchen floor. Obviously full of Christmas cheer it forgot it was still attached to the water intake and it all became rather nasty.............well quite wet actually.

We thought it best to retire to our beds and keep a low profile, I said to Molly that while a paddle would be good fun perhaps it was not the right time to dip our paws!!

Having mopped up the flood our hooman had to shove the naughty washing machine back across the room. It certainly put up a good fight!!!

Once everything was settled we asked very politely if we could play in the garden for a while. We were let out, all was fine until Molly spotted a nice bird to chase.

It did have the advantage of flight and when it saw Molly approaching it flew next door. Did this stop Molly? NO. She just carried on running, the fence was not a problem. Molly just went through it!

For some reason Molly refused to come back through the ginormous hole she had made so hooman had to pop next door to retrieve her!

The next hour was spent by a huffing and puffing hooman trying to do a temporary repair to the fence so it would be "Molly proof".

Hooman Dad was informed of the mishap. Judging by the volume of noise coming down the phone we don't think he was a happy bunny. Oops.



So Molly practiced her "Paws together aren't I cute" stance for him in the hope he would not be cross.

The Magic Bus and 60's fun.

In April of this year a UK Charity, Teenage Cancer Trust launched an amazing competition.

UK charity Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT), together with legendary rock band, The Who, are launching a worldwide competition to win a unique 1965 ‘split-screen’ Volkswagen Transporter van with special The Who ‘Magic Bus’ branding.

The competition to win the iconic van, will be launched by Roger Daltrey CBE, The Who frontman and patron of TCT, on Tuesday 8 April at the opening night of the annual TCT week of fund raising gigs at the Royal Albert Hall in London, which includes performances from Madness, Muse, Paul Weller, Joan Armatrading, The Fratellis and, of course, The Who.

This unique Volkswagen van will be on display outside the Royal Albert Hall until the last TCT gig on Sunday 13 April. It has been signed by The Who’s Roger Daltrey CBE and Pete Townsend, and branded with a unique design by The Who’s art director, Richard Evans, featuring the band’s famous target logo together with images of the original band members, including Keith Moon and John Entwistle.

Tickets for the competition are available from thewhomagicbus.com and cost £5 each, with all net proceeds being donated to TCT. All entrants receive a free download of a previously unreleased live performance by The Who of its famous hit ‘Magic Bus’.

We did buy a ticket but were not lucky enough to win. However, one of our WT friend's hoomans did. YES, THEY WON! We got to see the bus yesterday!!!!!!!!

In fact there was a 60's themed party to celebrate.

We had a good sniff around the bus. Unfortunately it started to rain so we all went indoors.

Inside the house there was 60's music playing and a 60's style buffet had been prepared. It certainly smelt delicious.


With bottles of Babycham, Snowballs, and bottles of Blue Nun to wash it all down.

The hoomans were all in 1960's attire. Have to say it took us a while to recognise some of them!!! The men were wearing hair for a change!!!!!!!!

You can see Molly was really into the swing of the party, I was hoping to receive a few small morsels of food from my hooman. Nothing came my way...typical!

Molly is not a party lass and she eventually had a nice snooze.

Our hooman received a lovely present before she left the party. A tea cosy. Apparently it keeps the teapot very warm and we think it is the best tea cosy ever.

The party helped raise more money for the TCT and we listened to the music our hoomans grew up with and realised how ancient they actually are!!

We went to London

We have been so busy this week we have only just got around to telling you about our trip to London last Sunday.

It was the Christmas meeting of WELTAF.

We had never been to Central London before. We were a little concerned we might be bored pounding the pavements of London but we were assured there are many big parks in London and we were going to visit several of them.

We had arranged to meet our friends at Midday in Horse Guards Parade.

This is the site of Trooping the Colour, which commemorates our Queen's Official Birthday.



We had our group photo taken.

We were squinting a bit as the sun was so bright.

After many photos and a lot of chatting by the hoomans we marched past Buckingham Palace.

The Queen was at home last Sunday but she did not wave to us as we went past.

We walked through St James's Park and Green Park and eventually came to a busy road where we had to wait a bit to cross over into Hyde Park.

We had a stop by The Serpentine (Lake) so that puppy Daisy could rest her little legs as she was feeling tired.

Then Molly watched the birds on the Lake.

After 15 minutes Molly suggested to Dooley that they rally everybody together as time was marching on and we wanted to be back at the car before it got dark.

Walking back through the parks we met the local wildlife.

I really fancied a nice cool drink from the lake but that swan would not let me near the water. Miserable he was.......

This lot were waddling up for some food.

We made it back to our starting point just as the sun was setting.

It was a brilliant day out.

We definitely like London and hope to go back again very soon.
